Australian designed and built, Allweld Industrial Ladders are fully welded from thick walled, high grade 6060 T5 aluminium tube.  Welding is carried out to AS/NZS 1665:2004 and ladders are designed and constructed in accordance to AS/NZS 1892.1:1996 pt1.

Fully welded steps inside and out eliminates twisting or distortion of the frame, even after years of use.  This gives maximum stability and safety.  Stability is further improved with a wider than standard base.

Platform Ladders, High Class and built to last. From the large reinforced checkerplate platform, to the smallest component on the ladder, all material in an Allweld platform ladder is high quality.

Platform ladders are fully welded for maximum strength from thick walled marine grade aluminium.  The welding process is in accordance with AS/NZS 1665:2004.  Design and construction is in accordance with AS/NZS 1892.1:1996 pt1.

The big 700mm x 400mm platform is formed from 2.5mm aluminium chequer-plate and load rated to 200kg, other features include an automatic locking spreader bar, wide non-slip steps, full length grab rails up each side and a wider than standard base for maximum stability. Designed and built for a long working, maintenance free life.  A true industrial grade ladder suited for the toughest workplaces.  The Allweld platform ladder range is located on mining and building sites all over the country.

  Safety Gates and Castors  Increasing safety, comfort & productivity 

Independent testing has concluded that the Allweld Folding Platform ladder range is load rated to a capacity of 200kg. Bureau Veritas Asset Integrity and Reliability Services Pty Ltd conducted testing on the Allweld Folding Platform ladder range in November 2011.  Testing in accordance with the Australian Standard 1892.1-1996 Part 1 Portable ladders concluded the Allweld Folding Platform ladder achieved a load capacity of 200kg.  The strength of the Allweld Folding Platform ladder is due to the construction method.  Ladders are fully welded using thick walled 6060 T5 grade aluminium.  Welders must have specific welding qualifications to perform Allweld’s welding procedures and all processes are in accordance with the Australian & New Zealand Standard 1665:2004 - Welding of aluminium structures.  The fully welded construction includes welding the steps inside and out and this eliminates any twisting or distortion of the frame even after years of use.  Allweld Industrial Platform ladders are available with a safety gate.  The safety gate fully encloses the operator whilst on the platform which makes the Allweld Folding Platform ladder mining industry compliant. The platform is large (700mm x 400mm) and fabricated from 2.5mm thick tread plate.  The steps are 80mm wide and there is a full length grab rail up each side.

Optional spring loaded castors are available for the two, three, four, five and six step models.  A lever castor system operates the seven and eight step platform ladders.  The lever system gives far greater stability than spring loaded castors on the larger seven and eight step units.  The lever system is also available for “wide based” six step platforms.  The lever castor system is simply operated by the operators' foot but still allows the platform ladder to be folded for storage.

Allweld Folding Platform ladders now also display the official Australian Made, Australian Grown Logo.  The gold kangaroo in the green triangle logo helps signify Allweld’s quality, strength, consistency and integrity.

Fabricating orchard ladders for over 25 years , Bridge Aluminium have always strived to produce the toughest ladder they could.  Specifications demanded in the orchard industry meant ladders had to withstand high repetitive loading, continuous set ups, multiple users, often rough treatment, and poor maintenance.  Incrediably some ladders are still in use in the industrial agricultural field after more than 20 years.  The successful ladder design born out experience from fabricating tough orchard ladders has been applied directly to the design and fabrication of the Allweld Dual Purpose Ladders and the Allweld Single Sided ladders.

Fully welded from thick walled, high grade 6060 T5 MF grade aluminium, safety and stability is maximised with features such as a wider than standard base, extruded non-slip grooves in the treads, 80mm wide steps, flat steps for extra safety and comfort, and a minimum load rating of 150kg.  There is extra bracing under steps, extra bracing down the sides, and dual tubes running the full length of the ladder creating a structural truss effect.  Fully welded steps inside and out prevents diagonal flexing (common fault with other, substandard ladders).  This means that even after years of wear and tear, the allweld ladder remains rigid, prolonging its life span.

Order Pickers Big, robust, and fully welded Allweld Industrial Ladders manufactures a range of fully welded Order Pickers.  These big robust units are available with a platform height of 500mm up to 3000mm high. A wider than standard base ensures maximum stability.  Allweld doesn't compromise safety with inferior material or inferior material thickness - we build it to last. Steps are an 80mm wide extrusion with non-slip grooves embedded to maximise grip. Handrails run up both sides of the ladder for comfort and safety. A 100mm toe-board runs around the edge of the platform which not only adds to safety but strength of the platform.  It also keeps foreign material from falling off the platform.

The unit has a 150kg load rating. The platform itself is constructed from 2.5mm reinforced chequer-plate.  The large 600mm wide platform provides plenty of room to work from.  Units can be customised to suit varying applications.  A safety gate can be fabricated to fully enclose the operator on the platform and/or a safety gate can be fitted to allow access off the platform.  If access is required against a solid wall slight adjustments can be made to the legs during fabrication to enable positioning flush with the wall. The Allweld Order Picker is becoming popular for use as a truck washing platform with many carriers opting for an OP200. Larger wheels can be fitted if the units are required to negotiate rough surfaces.   The units are manoeuvred like a wheel barrow, the operator lifts one end and wheels it to the required position.  The handrails are designed to double as a convenient lifting point.

Orchard Ladders

Bridge Aluminium has been servicing the Australian fruit picking industry for over 25 years fabricating heavy duty aluminium orchard ladders.

Bridge Aluminium has refined and developed their aluminium Tripod Ladder to meet the extreme demands required by the orchard industry.

Fully welded from high grade 6060 T5 MF grade aluminium, the ladders are extremely stable, lightweight and manoeuvrable.  This increases picker's safety, comfort and productivity.

-Design features such as a wider than standard base, foot spikes, and three legs, gives the tripod ladder excellent stability.
-The single rear leg enables pickers to position closer into trees.
-Steps are 80mm wide with non slip grooves maximising picking safety and comfort.  Steps are fully welded inside and out.
-The tripod ladder is load rated to 150kg and is suitable for apple, mandarin, cherry, fig, apricot, mango, peach, pear & custard apple orchards.

Bridge Aluminium has also developed a range of Picking Stools.

An aluminium checkerplate platform measuring 300mm x 370mm with a steady rail on the front, provides an extremely safe and strong working surface for pickers.
Foot spikes provide good purchase on the ground and a two step picking stool increases working height by 600mm.
